Background:

Owner/Manager Celia Bertoia and her husband Kyle Klicker have timed and organized runs on a volunteer basis for a decade before PERFECT TIMING became more than a whisper. In 1999 Kyle was the Race Director and Timer of Bozeman's largest race at the time known as the Sweet Pea Run. The following year Celia was head of the planning committee for the race and decided to hire a professional timing service to help make Kyle's job of Race Director easier. The closest timing company we could locate was in Oregon. As we watched what they did, and noted how much we had to pay them, we realized that, hey, we can do that and we can do it better and cheaper!

The next year Celia and Kyle did do that, for less money and with more accuracy and better service and PERFECT TIMING was born in 2001. PERFECT TIMING is the only company of its kind in Montana. In 2010, PERFECT TIMING has expanded to offer the ChronoTrack disposable "D" and "B" chip tag timing.

Celia and Kyle have experienced races from all angles: as casual participants, volunteers, competitive runners, coaches, event directors, and consultants. Celia has the organizational, management, and people skills while Kyle, a registered Professional Engineer, has the technical know-how and calm demeanor necessary for making your next race a success.

Our goal is to make the registration process and race day smooth and seamless, so you can concentrate on other important areas. Make life as a race director easier by letting PERFECT TIMING time your next event!

"PERFECT TIMING did a great job. They were easy to work with and got the results to us in time for the awards ceremony. No matter how many thousands of participants you may have, every runner's time is critical!"
Beth Woody, Riverbank Run Race Director, Missoula bwoody@ymcamissoula.org

"Thank you for all your efforts. You exceeded expectations and everyone was very happy with the timing/results/accuracy. How/why did I do it before? Again, thank you very much."
Bill R., Missoula, MT, Race Director, Bitterroot Endurance Runs.

"Great race and excellent job on the timing! I'm constantly amazed at the job you do, Celia. Like so many other aspects of our little mountain town, your race timing could hold its own in a city ten times the size of Bozeman. Nice work."
Mike, Bozeman runner and publisher"

"We are both too tired to appreciate how well every thing went. You and Kyle take a great load off us race directors."
Bob Wade, Kathy Brown, Race Directors Bozeman Classic, Bozeman, MT

"Thanks to you as well. Your timing service is very efficient."
Tim Dumas, Bozeman Daily Chronicle

Runners Comments:

You can't improve the job you do. I pride myself on timing my own run accurately--very careful about starting and stopping my stopwatch. Your time was exactly the same as mine, to the tenth of a second. I don't think that's ever happened to me in a road race. Great job.
Ray C.

This is unbelievable! In my prime, I ran the Boston Marathon 13 times, the Marine Corps Marathon 18 times and the New York City Marathon 5 times. I have run hundreds of other races in big cities and small. Never before have I seen such service -- first a call from the race director the day before reminding me of the race and then these personalized results. You guys are incredible. For the past two years, yours is the only race I have run. If I can still run, walk, hobble or crawl next year, you can be sure I will be there.
Douglas R.

Your email is a very nice touch to a wonderful day. I've run 51 marathons in 38 states and never have I received an email like this within a few hours after finishing the race.
Jack T., 50 state marathon runner.
