How
to Use and Attach the Timing Chip to your Shoe:
1. Pick up
your chip at packet pickup well before the start of the race.
2. Visually
verify the chip number matches your bib number.

3. Have registration
personnel test scan your chip to verify it works and is the right
number.
4. Only accept
a chip if you plan on running the race.
5. Make sure
you use the chip asigned to you, not a family member or friend.
6. Thread
the cable tie through one hole of the chip.

7. Thread
the cable tie under at least two shoe lace loops near the toe.

8. Make sure
the chip lies flat (horizontal) on the top of the shoe.
9. Thread
the cable tie back up through the chip hole furthest from the
first input hole.

10. Thread
the cable tie through the cable tie's own lock.

11. Pull
the cable tie snug and make sure it locks.

12. If the
lock slips easily, pull the cable tie free from the lock, spin
the tie 180 degrees and reinsert it into the lock.
13. Be sure
to step on the start (if present) and finish timing mat with
your chipped foot.
14. Cooperate
with race officials when they snip the cable tie, collect and
remove the chip after the finish line.
15. If you
inadvertently keep the chip, return it to race officials or mail
to: Perfect Timing, 2791 Butch Cassidy DR, Bozeman MT 59718.
16. Remember,
you are responsible to pick up the right chip and properly attach
it. PERFECT TIMING is not responsible for results of those who
do not pick up or properly attach the chip.
